Don't judge a book by its cover. My brother dragged me here late one night for some chicken sandwiches against my will. When I pulled up to a car wash parking lot, I was about to drive away and just go back home. I'm so glad that I didn't do that, because the experience I had here was a very memorable one.
It's an Armenian family run business, and they took so much care of us that it was unreal. The owner/father chatted with us and the entire family took care of us and even made us some Armenian coffee in the end. I felt so at home and welcome by these people, and even though I wasn't hungry, I ate and enjoyed everything. Maybe it was the heart and soul that they put into it, but hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in LA yet (and there's a bunch of these places around now so that says a lot).
They're open from 8pm till about 2-3am most nights, and they post their schedule on their Instagram page. You would be surprised how packed they can get, cars literally line up and wait. They're on Uber eats so a bunch of people come pick up orders as well. They have two tables set up if you want to sit and eat there, or you can call it in and take it to go.
I love to see family businesses like this thriving, especially when they are so kind and passionate about what they do. Best service I've ever had anywhere to be quite honest. Make sure to grab extra of their homemade sauce and get the macaroni salad cause it's also bomb! -

Im gonna keep myself composed for this.. but mam so confused to how this place has 5 stars.. I reaaaaallly regret coming here and wasting not only money but an HOUR of my time. Ive never tried hot chicken places and it was around 10-11pm and we saw this place has a bomb review so we said let's go! All excited we approach the address which is actually an old ass car wash, and they're just posted directly in front of it. Hot chicken fryer, buns out and everything I mean it looks terrible super unsanitary and food should not be sitting out there they're not even in a truck or underneath a tarp! They had about 15 styrofoam plates with just coleslaw sitting out for god knows how long I mean it was actually shocking how this is considered okay to eat at? They were cross contaminating literally everything I mean they're wearing gloves and putting coleslaw in the plate with their hands, while the spoon sits on the nasty table right next to all the plates. I guess my reaction in disgust to seeing that was obvious when I was lookin at her do that that the only young lady(she was nice at least)walked up behind her and told her to stop. They both looked at me like . The girl waiting next to us said she placed her order online ahead of time and showed up for them to say it's a 30 min wait she told me she'd been there for over an hour... I go up to the guy asking him for my order because I mean I'm already in complete shock of how this place is ran, but it's taking too long for chicken chops on some fries.. the man at the make shift register says "a couple more mins" at this point I wished I ate at McDonald's and he continues to say "next time you should order ahead of time" next time?? I don't think he's all there to think saying that was smart. I told him straight up he didn't mention any wait time when we ordered . about to ask for my money back and again I guess it was obvious I was in disgust and still waiting the nice lady came and told me mine was next I was this close to taking pictures so you all are warned( I sure wasn't) but she came up w my order and I just wanted to leave got sick of standing there looking all hangry as they yell at each other in another language.. super inappropriate ... in conclusion of my longest yelp review ever ... -if you order online expect you coleslaw have been sitting out for time
- lost my appetite after seeing how unsanitary they were
- the sitting area is two old dirty tables w 4 dirty chairs
-there's so much more I could say but that's enough I'm out
To the owners response: I don't think you understand the use of yelp, or having a business on a yelp. But then again I am not surprised, because from what I witnessed i don't think whatever I saw you run lives up to the name. I'm sorry that you get personally offended by a bad review, it is not a personal message to you. By suggesting me to read more reviews ahead you are essentially agreeing with other customers complaints...
You clearly misunderstood the fact of the matter that the FOOD quality was less than McDonald's. Something that I obviously don't want to eat so I chose this place. Correct, every one of you customers has different experiences.. good and bad. I wrote on my experience because that's what YELP is for.. Instead of going after those who have a bad experience, maybe try to improve next time to avoid it. I don't know ... maybe something as simple as informing people before they pay that there will be an HOUR wait? P.s Your creepy message suggesting you remember who I am was not appropriate. -

I'm going to go ahead and say I just didn't enjoy the chicken. Mine is not the first review to mention the burnt taste the breading had.
It seems like it's an off night thing... Maybe depends on who's working the fryer. I went with someone who's been before and they confirmed the burnt taste wasn't there last time they came.
Too bad...I get what they were going for with the coleslaw to balance the heat and some acid from the pickle to cut thru it all... But that burnt taste just overpowered everything else. -

This place was pretty hard to find. I came here around 9pm on a Sunday and ended up parking at the car wash. Theyre located literally next to the carwash. The pop-up consisted of two long foldable tables and their cooking utensils right on the busy streets of Lankershim. The smog makes everything tastier. Not too sure where parking would be during the day time. This place got stellar reviews. Mom & pop shop. I ordered 3 tenders (2 mild and 1 med spicy level- you can never be too careful when it comes to spicy level) & 1 mild spicy slider with cheese. Total came out to be $17 which was venmo-ed to the owner- Gabe.
THEY TAKE CARD OR VENMO!! NO CASH!!
The wait for the food was pretty long but the main face of the buisness (a female) was very hospitable and apologetic about the wait time so that's a +1 star. Order from postmates for faster service/ food pickup because seriously there were 10 people who came, picked up their order, and left before my food. They mentioned that they hope to make enough money to open up their own store and i hope so too. I see potential.
The slider was very good. Delicious crunch of the slaw and the fried chicken with every bite. I would say that the slider was my favorite. The medium spicy left a nice subtle numbing sensation on my lips- just to slightly tease my tastebuds. The breading was very thick but it didnt taste like a mouth full of breading.
The medium spicy slider however was a mouth full of dry seasoning with every bite. I could not finish it. Too spicy and dry. Loss of half a star making it 4.5/5 in my book a 40 minute wait for my food. -

Now I came across this place when I typed in hot chicken. I was surprised to find a location of the spot but trust me once you try the chicken it will be well worth it. Now I ordered the biggie smalls which is a large chicken sandwich with a mini chicken slider. Now the chicken was crispy and juicy. The sauce was awesome I tell you what that was some grade A sauce you got there. Will definitely come back again. Highly recommend this place.
